Macon girls soccer split two games

The Macon County girls soccer team had two matches this past week.

On Sep 19th the Tigerettes hosted Portland for a district match. Macon fell behind early 3-0 but came back with goals from Ashley Romero and Taylor Green. However they couldn’t find the equalizer and fell by a final score of 3-2.

On Sep 21st Macon also hosted Springfield for a non-district contest. Macon had a big night with an 8-3 win behind goals from: a hat trick from Taylor Green (3), Jessica Romero (2), Ashley Romero, Bree Wheet, and Alyssa Keller.

The program also recognized their senior players at the Springfield game. Seniors Chloe Blankenship, Arienda Lopez, and Ashley Romero and their parents were appreciated with a short ceremony.

The Tigerettes will have their final home game of the season on Tuesday Sep 26th against Station Camp.
