More Men Arrested for Solicitation of a Minor

By Jessie Williams

Two more men have been arrested for soliciting minors through an undercover Facebook page ran by the Macon County Sheriff’s Department.

The first arrest involved 27-year-old Tobbie Herren of Spencer, Tennessee.

According to law enforcement, Herren messaged the undercover Facebook page on December 6, 2023, and was told he was speaking with a 14-year-old girl.

While speaking with the undercover, he sent explicit photos of himself and wrote explicit messages.

After agreeing to meet the undercover for sexual acts in Macon County on December 7, 2023, detectives observed him pull into the agreed upon meeting location, where officers approached the vehicle and arrested him without incident.

He faces four counts of solicitation of a minor. His bond is set at $80,000, and he is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on January 10, 2024.

A similar chain of events also occurred involving 28-year-old Johnny Lee Ralston, Jr., of Adolphus, Kentucky.

Mr. Ralston also contacted an undercover officer that was posing as a 14-year-old female on Facebook messenger. He was told by the undercover that she was 14, yet Ralston continued to send messages asking for photos.

On December 7, 2024, he did send two explicit photos, and engaged in planning to meet up for sexual activity.

The following day, Mr. Ralston traveled to the planned location and was met by Macon County & City of Lafayette law enforcement.

He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of solicitation of a minor.

Ralston’s bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on January 10, 2024.
