Lafayette Little League Sends Two Teams to State
By Mark Darnell
Two teams from the Lafayette Little League have advanced to their respective State Tournaments.
The league offered softball for the first time this season. Big congratulations should go to the league as their 10U All-Star team advanced to the State Tournament as the District 2 Champions for the first time ever.
The 10U softball team is scheduled to play in Clarksville at the St. Bethlehem Civitan Park on Friday July 12th at 6.pm. Please try to go out and support this team.
The 10U Lafayette softball All-Stars are: Leah Huffines, Stella Clark, Kyra Deering, Harper Shrum, Harper Hudson, Paisley Hancock, Hunter Driver, Briella Jones, Addy Storey, Medelyn West, Eliza Prock, and Carleigh Stinson. They are coached by Greg Huffines, Justin Prock, and Josh Hudson.
The Lafayette Little League 10U team also advanced to their State Tournament as well this past week as the District 2 Champions.
The 10U team is scheduled to play in Goodlettsville at Moss Wright Park on July 6th at 7 pm. I believe they are the third Lafayette team to advance to this level in league history.
The 10U Lafayette Little League All-Stars are: Hayden Gross, Haygen Gross, Tate Austin, Noah Key, Kyler Bussey, Keegan Bussey, Gunner Wix, Kipp Huffines, Tyson Brown, Brylen Lee, Clayton Keene, and Malachi Brawner. They are coached by Todd Austin, Scott Key, Matt Keene, and Jonathan Lee.
Best of luck to these boys and girls of summer!
