Mr. Shirley Howard Russell, age 86 of Lafayette, TN passed away Sunday evening, July 28, 2024 at The Macon Community Hospital in Lafayette, TN. Shirley is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette.

Funeral Services for Shirley Howard Russell were conducted Saturday afternoon, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Begie Blackwell & Elder Charlie Patterson officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park with Military Honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. Otis Agee, Freddie Haney, Jack Albertson, Danny Miller, Jeff Massey, & Roger Russell served as pallbearers.

Mr. Shirley Howard Russell was born March 14, 1938 in North Springs, TN, born to the late Clelon & Jessie Potette Russell and departed this life July 28, 2024 at the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 14 days.

He married the love of his life, Myrna Barton on September 26, 1964. They shared over 59 wonderful years together. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death
by Daughter, Tracy Bonee’, Grandson, Joshua Bonee’, Brothers, Kenneth, Glen, Joe, Johnny, & Ben Russell. Shirley was a member of Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver for many years with Roadway Express and many other local companies.

Survivors include: Wife, Myrna Barton Russell of Lafayette, Daughter, Tammy (John) Albertson, Grandchildren, Megan (Jon) Barbuto all of Murfreesboro, Caleb Bonee’ of Nashville, Madison Albertson of Washington DC, Jack Albertson of Murfreesboro, Sister, Lane Spivey of Cookeville, Brother, Wade Russell, Sisters-in-law, Peggy Russell both of Barberton, Ohio, Pauline Russell of Clearwater, FL, Great-Grandchildren, Emma, Lucy & Lillian Barbuto. arrangements entrusted to
