Man Charged after Altercation with Kenneth Hollis

According to a report released from the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, 31-year old Dalton Manion of 10607 Galen Road in Lafayette, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and disorderly conduct on October 5, 2024 after a public altercation with Red Boiling Springs Mayor Kenneth Hollis.
The report states, that Lafayette Police Department Officer Dylan Gann did arrest Mr. Manion at the Macon County football field, due to Dalton striking Kenneth Hollis repeatedly in the side of the face.
The report went on to say that after speaking with Dalton, he did state, “I smacked the ___ out of him”, and at that time, he was placed in custody for the charges listed above, stating that the incident did occur at the Macon County football field, which was occupied by numerous spectators.
Mr. Manion’s bond was set at $1,000 and a court date has been scheduled for December 4, 2024.
The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
