40 Grams of Meth Found Inside Safe in Woman’s Trunk

Thirty-three-year-old Felecia Denise Trammel was arrested last week after a vehicle pursuit revealed approximately 40 grams of methamphetamine inside a safe in the trunk of her Chevy Malibu.

According to a report filed by arresting officer, Sergeant Clinton Friar, he and another deputy were traveling south on Rocky Mound Rd. around 10:54 PM on Monday, November 4, when they observed the Malibu cross over the fog line multiple times.

A traffic stop was initiated but the driver, later identified as Mrs. Trammel, failed to pull over, and a pursuit ensued.

Sergeant Friar and other deputies attempted to box the vehicle in several times, and in one instance an officer’s vehicle was struck by Trammel in the front, left fender and bumper.

The pursuit continued until coming to a stop at the registered owner’s address on Deer Park Lane. When the vehicle came to a stop, Trammel was placed under arrest.

A Macon County K-9 Deputy conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle with his K-9 partner, Ghost, who indicated on the driver side door.

A backpack was located in the trunk during a search of the vehicle, that contained a safe, along with a large amount of clear, plastic sandwich bags. Upon opening the safe, a clear baggie containing approximately 40 grams of a crystal-like substance believe to be methamphetamine, was discovered. Also inside the safe was a digital scale with the same crystal-like substance on it, more empty baggies and a glass pipe with white residue on it.

A loaded 9 mm firearm was located in between the driver seat and middle console.

Evidence suggested to law enforcement that Trammel was selling narcotics.

She was charged with failure to maintain lane, possession of methamphetamine for resale, aggravated assault on a first responder, possession of a firearm during commission of dangerous felony, evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Her bond was set at $70,000, and she is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on December 4, 2024.
