Long Creek Bridge Project Update

I would like to give an update on the Long Creek bridge project. The Tennessee Department of Transportation completed an assessment on the bridge, which required us to close it in the later part of last year. Construction will begin on the Long Creek Road Bridge repair project on Wednesday, May 20th.  The project will be funded in part, by Tennessee Department of Transportation, and Macon County. The awarded contractor, for the amount of $424,900.00, is Mid-State Construction Co., Inc. from Livingston, Tennessee. Weather permitting, the construction of the Long Creek bridge is estimated to be complete within 90 days. Thank you to the public for your understanding and patience, as we know this is an inconvenience to the ones that travel this road on a daily basis.
