Macon Community Hospital Celebrates National Hospital Week

Last week, May 11th through May 16th, Macon Community Hospital proudly celebrated National Hospital Week with a week full of food, fun, and appreciation for our dedicated employees. This year’s theme, “Healing Happens Here,” highlighted the compassion, commitment, and teamwork that our staff provides to patients and families every day.

Throughout the week, employees enjoyed several special treats and events made possible by the generosity and support of our community partners. A special thank you goes to Air Evac for providing the popular ice cream truck experience for staff members. We also appreciate Adoration Health and Gentiva Hospice for sponsoring a wonderful breakfast from C3, helping employees start their day with appreciation and encouragement.

Additional thanks go to FinThrive for sponsoring a Social Grounds coffee morning that gave staff a chance to relax and recharge together. Macon County EMS also helped make the week special by providing delicious cupcakes for employees to enjoy.

Macon Community Hospital would also like to extend a special thank you to Della Carter for providing a relaxing and creative watercolor painting activity for employees during the week. The activity gave staff members an opportunity to unwind, have fun, and enjoy time together outside of their daily routines.

Hospital Week serves as an important reminder of the vital role rural community hospitals play in providing quality healthcare close to home. Macon Community Hospital is thankful for the continued support of our community, local businesses, healthcare partners, and employees who work tirelessly to care for others.

“Healing Happens Here” every day at Macon Community Hospital, and we are truly fortunate to have a strong community hospital serving the healthcare needs of Macon County and the surrounding region.
