Bettye Hale

Bettye Louise Driver Hale was born on May 31, 1946, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to the late James Edward Driver and Senia Bell Krantz Driver.

She was a woman of Baptist faith whose life reflected the values she held dear – love, kindness, hard work, and devotion to family. On February 12, 1966, Bettye married the love of her life, Teddy Wayne Hale. Together they built a beautiful life and shared more than fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage before Teddy’s passing on March 10, 2023.

In addition to her dear parents and husband, Bettye was also preceded in death by, brother, Richard Driver; sisters, Orilla Wilson, Ruth Taylor, and Viola Cole; and brother-in-law, Terry Hale.

Bettye dedicated many years of her life to her career as a supervisor with United Auto Workers, but family was the center of Bettye’s world. She treasured every moment spent with her daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and relatives. Whether she was traveling to new places, enjoying a shopping trip, sharing stories, or simply spending time together, she found happiness in creating memories with those she loved most.

On June 18, 2026, at the age of eighty years and eighteen days, Bettye was called home to be with her Lord and reunited with her beloved Teddy. While our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace. Bettye will always be remembered for her loving heart, her beautiful smile, and the way she made family feel like life’s greatest blessing. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to live on in all of us. Though she will be deeply missed, she will never be forgotten, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Bettye Hale is survived by, daughter, Stacey Sutton and husband, Scotty; grandson, Avery Wayne Sutton; sister, Janet Ramsey and husband, Jerry; brother-in-law, Norman Cole; and sister-in-law, Lena Blackwell and husband, James. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
