Investigators Seize Approx. 8 lbs. of Meth, 1/2 lb. of Fentanyl

On Friday, June 26, deputies and detectives with the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, along with agents of the 15th Judicial Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Lafayette Police Department, executed a search warrant following a four-month narcotics investigation.

During the search, investigators seized approximately 8 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and half-a-pound of suspected fentanyl. One adult male, 39-year-old Jason Keith Clemons, was taken into custody as a result of the investigation.

Clemons, a Lafayette resident, was charged with manufacture of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacture, delivery or possession of methamphetamine.

His bond was set at $150,000 and he is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on July 15, 2026.
