Man Exposes Himself to Juveniles in Parking Lot

Twenty-nine-year-old Cody Dewayne Chastain, of Westmoreland, was charged with indecent exposure and two counts of soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor after exposing himself to a woman and two female juveniles.
According to a report filed by Detective Jeff Hix of the Lafayette Police Department, Chastain was sitting inside his vehicle in the Walmart parking lot, when he began masturbating and then raised himself up from the seat, exposing himself to a woman and two juvenile females in the parking lot so they could clearly see him masturbating.
The incident took place on February 21, 2024 and Chastain was arrested on April 23, 2024.
His bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on May 15, 2024.
