Tony Day Elected Mayor of Lafayette

Tony Day, local businessman, unopposed in his bid for mayor of Lafayette, polled 86 votes in last Thursday’s Lafayette Municipal Election. Elected to fill three city council seats were incumbent Jason Phelps (70 votes), incumbent Roger Jones (62 votes) and newcomer Dale Hix (68 votes). They were the only three candidates who qualified. All four elected officials will be sworn in on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
