The Macon County High Tigerette softball team split their pair of games this week.
On Monday Apr 13 Macon traveled to face Livingston Academy. The Lady Wildcats had some hot bats as they scored in all of the six innings they came to the plate. The Tigerettes did manage to push across three runs late but lost the contest 3-11.
Maysi Patterson was the pitcher of record as she threw two innings and allowed four hits and four earned runs. Kayli Aulick threw three and two-thirds innings and allowed eight hits and four earned runs. The only hits in the game came from Jazzlyn Centers, Rayleigh Coley, and a home run from Sierra Troutt,
On Wednesday Apr 15 Macon hosted Trousdale County. Trying to avenge a 0-10 thrashing on March 10, the Tigerettes scored just enough and despite an error in the last inning held on to win the return match by a final score of 6-5.
Kaylen Moore got the complete game win as she hurled all seven innings allowing eight hits and two earned runs with two strike-outs. Troutt was 3 for 3 with three RBIs while Moore was 2 for 3 at the plate. Kate Jo Shockley, Emma Farley, Anniston Tirjan, and Centers (HR) also collected hits in the game.
This week the Tigerettes are scheduled to travel to Central Magnet on Apr 20, travel to Watertown on Apr 21, host DeKalb County on Apr 23, and host Trousdale County on Apr 24.
