Sex Offenders Arrested in Operation ‘Macon Safe Guard’

The TBI and United States Marshals Service assisted the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and Lafayette Police Department with a sex offender compliance operation called ‘Operation Macon Safe Guard.’

The TBI and the United States Marshals Service assisted the Macon County Sheriff’s Office with a sex offender compliance operation on April 13 & 14, dubbed ‘Operation Macon Safe Guard.’

Out of 42 offenders contacted by law enforcement, 19 were found to be in compliance.

The following 17 sex offenders were found to be non-compliant and arrested as of press time, Monday, May 4, 2026:

Adam Puga, of Bethpage: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – Failure to register vehicles with sex offender registry (3 vehicles)

Alicia Stone, of Hartsville: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – Failure to update address, Violation of Sex Offender Registry – failure to update driver’s license

Derrick Sykes, of Red Boiling Springs: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – Failure to report employment

Frederick Henderson, of Lafayette: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – Possession of a firearm x 8, possession of ammunition by a felon, possession of a firearm by a felon x 8

Hollie Jones, Jr.: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – No 88 code on Driver’s License, Violation of Sex Offender Registry – failure to register TikTok username

Jerrell Livingston, of Dixon Springs: Violation of Sex Offender Registry

– failure to register YouTube username

Jerry Propes, of Lafayette: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – failure to register TikTok username

Jerry Wong, of Lafayette: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – failure to report updated registration within 48 hours

Joseph Cassola, of Lafayette: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – residential & work restrictions x 2

Joseph Tackett, of Red Boiling Springs: Violation of Sex Offender Registry – failure to register Playstation ID, Violation of Sex Offender Registry – has Discord account, Violation of Sex Offender Registry – failure to register email address
