Double Murder on Scottsville Road

Pictured above is the Scottsville Rd. home where the double homicide occurred.

Local law enforcement officers were called to the scene of a double homicide on Scottsville Rd. on the evening of Thursday June 25, 2026.

TBI agents have since taken over the investigation, and have released the following statement:

“At the request of 15th Judicial District Attorney General Jason Lawson, TBI agents continue to investigate the deaths of two women in a shooting in the 6100 block of Scottsville Road in Macon County.

A third individual, a male, remains hospitalized in Nashville with gunshot wounds sustained in the incident.

Currently, we do not have reason to believe there is a public safety threat related to the shooting. 

The investigation remains active and ongoing. We have nothing further to provide at this time.”
