Macon County EMS Reports

Macon County EMS presented its July 2026 activity report during the Sept. 8 Macon County Committee of the Whole meeting.

According to the report, all three county ambulance stations — Lafayette, Red Boiling Springs and Westside — remained open throughout the month of July.

Together, the three stations responded to 405 calls, resulting in 250 transports.

Lafayette recorded the highest number of calls with 222, followed by Red Boiling Springs with 100 and Westside with 83.

The report listed the calls by type as 36 emergency transports, 215 non-emergency transports, 37 refusals, 36 cancellations, 50 public/unit assists, 23 standby or other calls, and eight DOA calls.

Macon County EMS reported collections totaling $143,608.64 for July.

The average response and call times reported by EMS are included in the accompanying chart.

Among the destinations listed, Macon Community Hospital received the most EMS transports with 105, followed by Sumner Regional Medical Center with 53, Hendersonville Medical Center with 21 and Trousdale Medical Center with 17.

The fifth-highest destination was a tie, with seven transports to Skyline Medical Center and seven to a morgue or funeral home.
