Sex Offenders – Protecting Our Children
She was only 7-years-old, a beautiful little girl walking home from school, when she was abducted, raped and killed by a wicked maniac, who then threw her precious little body on a landfill. Somer Thompson was laid to rest on Tuesday, in Orange Park, Florida. The cold-blooded murderer has not been apprehended, but the authorities will get him, and I hope he gets what he deserves-death.
There are 161 registered sexual perverts who live within a 5-mile radius of Somer’s home. Sexual predators of little children should get the electric chair. They deserve not one bit of compassion.
Parents need to be aware of the fact that there are registered sex offenders in almost every community and county in the country. Macon County and Sumner County are no exceptions.
Children, waiting for their school bus or walking to and from school, are sometimes kidnapped by these sexual freaks of the devil. Our boys and girls are precious and they need to be under the watchful eyes of parents and adults at all times.
Sex offenders, who reside in Macon County and I’m sure this is also true in Sumner County, are prohibited by a school board policy from coming on the campus of a school. They cannot and should not be trusted with children.
The person or persons who robbed Somer of her life will one-day pay for his sins, and the sooner the better.
In the meantime the body of missing 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten was found in a wooded area near Missouri’s capital, Jefferson City, on Friday, two days after she was last seen walking from a neighbor’s home. A juvenile, who was considered a suspect, was taken into custody. This is further proof that children aren’t safe when walking alone.
In a culture where Christian people are demonized, God is declared out-dated, and criminals are put on probation no matter how serious the crime, it isn’t any wonder that they have no respect for human beings. Nations reap what they sow.
“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” (Ps. 9:1)
