The unofficial Macon County 2022 State Primary & County General Election results are in, and the winners of each county seat are as follows:
The Macon County Sheriff’s Department is holding “Active Shooter Response Training” for teachers at all Macon County Schools, and they were at Fairlane Elementary on Tuesday, July, 19. The focus of this mandatory training is to teach our educators the proper response for an active shooter situation on campus.
The Macon County General Election and State Primary Election is this Thursday, August 4, 2022.

A 65-year-old man residing in Macon County was arrested last week for possession ofmethamphetamine.
Macon County Sheriff’s Office K9 Otto has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Otto’s vest was sponsored by Michael Lanza of Ocala, FL and embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”.
Macon County officers have begun training on the department’s newly acquired drones with practice flights.
