Patty Tomlinson Sentenced to 8-Year Prison Term

Twenty-eight-year-old Patty Gail Tomlinson, a former employee at a Trousdale County daycare, was convicted of aggravated sexual battery and sentenced to a prison term of eight years, during a Trousdale County Circuit Court hearing last week.

Tomlinson, who was arrested in February 2009, pled guilty to the charge after allegations that she had an ongoing, sexual relationship with a young boy.

The relationship between Tomlinson, an employee at Miss Susan’s Learning Center in Hartsville, and the juvenile, took place when the boy was 12 years old.

Tomlinson, who was 27-years-old at the time of the incident, will serve the full eight-year prison sentence.

According to the Trousdale County Circuit Court Office, she will begin serving her sentence at the Macon County Jail and will later be transferred to the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
