An affidavit of complaint was filed against RBS Mayor Kenneth Hollis and he was arrested on February 24th and charged with sexual battery by an authority figure and sexual battery. A 17-year-old female stated that in 2008, while her boyfriend was at work, Hollis came into the apartment that the couple rented from him, and put both of his hands on her chest and groped her breasts. After she turned 18, she alleged that the mayor came into her apartment three more times, and each time he groped her breasts against her will. According to the complainant’s mother, when she confronted Mayor Kenneth Hollis, he didn’t deny the allegations that he had touched her and the teenager moved out of his apartment in June of 2009.

After the Macon County Sheriffs Department received reliable information on Sunday morning, June 6th, 19-year-old Jonas Jones was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamines after officers discovered a meth lab operation at his 878 Mack Hollow Road Westmoreland residence. After a further search of the property, the law enforcement personnel were also able to uncover components used to make meth in a horse trailer near the Jones home and a second meth lab location under a woodpile behind the residence.
