A Gamaliel, Kentucky woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident on the Galen Road, Tuesday night, November 2nd, around 9:00 p.m. According to Sgt. Ashley Mercer, of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Damis King, of Gamaliel, was behind the wheel of an eastbound Pontiac Grand Prix, when he crossed into the westbound land and collided head on with a green Camaro, driven by Casey Gulley, also of Gamaliel, Kentucky.Ms. Kimberly King, a passenger in the Camaro, was transported by the Macon County Emergency Medical Services to T.J. Sampson Hospital, in Glasgow, Kentucky, with non life threatening injuries, after she was extricated from the vehicle by the Macon County Rescue Squad. The two drivers were treated at the scene.
Damis King was charged with Due Care by Sgt. Mercer, who was the investigating officer.
Those responding to the scene included the Macon County Sheriffs Department, Macon County EMS, Lafayette Fire Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County Rescue Squad and the Macon County Chronicle.
