Ben Bray Real Estate to Hold St. Jude Children's Hospital Auction, Jan. 22nd

Since its inception, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has developed protocols that have helped push the overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when they first opened in 1962 to 80 percent today, and on Saturday, January 22nd, Ben Bray, Broker/Auctioneer for Ben Bray Real Estate & Auction Company, will conduct a benefit auction for this research center in the Sally Wells Building, located at the Macon County Fairgrounds, here in Lafayette, beginning at 10 a.m.

“We are seeking donations for this benefit we are conducting here in Lafayette for St. Jude’s, which is ran strictly on donations made by people and organizations just like yourself,” Ben said on Thursday afternoon, January 6th, “and all the money raised from our event will go directly to the hospital and their daily operations.”

“St. Judes is a Pediatric Cancer Research Center located in Memphis, Tennessee,” Ben continued, “and they serve over 5,000 patients each year regardless of their ability to pay, with several children in Macon County being treated there in previous years. I have been blessed with three healthy children, which I think most of us probably take for granted and I am proud to partner with this center and coordinator a benefit auction for their battle against childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases.”
