Pharmacy Owner, Bill Donaldson Federally Indicted

Former Clay County School Board member and owner of Donaldson Pharmacy in Celina, Tennessee, William (Bill) Lester Donaldson was indicted on five counts of ‘Distribution of Hydrocodone’ (felony) on April 21, 2011 by the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

A warrant for Donaldson’s arrest was received on April 21st following a sealed indictment that was handed down by the Grand Jury on April 20th.

According to the indictment records, the Grand Jury determined that Donaldson ‘did unlawfully, knowingly and intentionally distribute a quantity of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of Hydrocodone, a Schedule III controlled substance’ on or around August 13, 2010, August 27, 2010, September 17, 2010, September 30, 2010 and October 5, 2010.

If convicted, Donaldson faces a maximum of up to 10 years in prison and fines of up to $500,000.

Donaldson will appear for a Detention Hearing in the U.S. District Courtroom of Judge Clifton Knowles on Tuesday, April 26th at 1 p.m. in Nashville, Tennessee. He has chosen to employ his own counsel.

Pending the hearing, Donaldson will be detained in the custody of the United States marshal, or other authorized officer.
