Wreck Sends Lafayette Woman to MCGH

A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 52 and 10 on Friday afternoon, August 12th sending a Lafayette woman to Macon County General Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Mary Frances Jent was behind the wheel of a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville, when she collided with a Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency 2006 Ford 350. The Macon County Fire Department and Rescue Squad used the hurst tools and removed the driver’s side door to gain access to the patient. “We then assisted the Macon County EMS to get the victim out of the car and into the awaiting ambulance,” said Billy King on Monday afternoon. Ms. Jent was then transported to Macon County General Hospital with minor injuries.”

Officer Henry Behr, of the Lafayette Police Department was the investigating officer and those responding to the crash site were the Macon County EMS, Lafayette Fire Department, Macon County Rescue Squad, LPD, and the Macon County Chronicle.
