Lions Club Duck Race & City Street Dance in RBS this Saturday

The Red Boiling Springs Lions Club Annual Duck Race Duck Day Festival will take place this Saturday, September 3rd, beginning at 10 a.m. followed by a City Street Dance featuring the band Shattered Silence from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Starting off a full day of activities, the Duck Days Race will feature live music all day, food, games, crafts, prizes and the ever-popular dunking booth.


Taking place at The Palace Park, the duck’s will race down Salt Lick Creek, with the owner of the winning duck receiving $100 and the last place ‘Lame Duck’ owner collecting $50.

To participate in the Duck Race, adopt a duck for $5 at Macon Bank & Trust Red Boiling Springs Branch or see any RBS Lions Club member. All adopted ducks will be entered into prize drawings for chances to win throughout the day. Those selected in the drawings do not have to be present to win.


Rain or shine, everyone is welcome to come enjoy a day of fun and support the RBS Lions Club. All proceeds from the event will assist the Lions Club in providing help to those will sight and hearing disabilities.


Following the duck race, the local band Shattered Silence will take the stage on Market Street in downtown Red Boiling Springs at 5 p.m. to kick off the 1st Annual Street Dance, which will also feature food, games and vendors.
