Couple Charged in Drug Resale Business

As the war on drugs heats up in Middle Tennessee, last Thursday night, October 20th, Sheriff Mark Gammons, along with other officers of the Macon County Sheriffs Department, proceeded to 10861 Old Highway 52, to execute a search warrant. Upon their arrival at the home of Jonathan Tony Waddell, age 33, and Donna Lashelle Waddell, age 37, they found the couple in possession of Schedule II narcotics and they are believed to be involved in the resale business of selling different types of pills.

“During the search,” stated Sheriff Gammons, “we also seized $763 in cash, along with surveillance equipment, police scanners and cameras. We found several items we believe were traded for narcotics, including televisions, computers and play stations.”

The subjects were placed under arrest at their home and carried to the Macon County Jail. 

Mr. and Ms. Waddell were both charged with one count of Possession of Schedule II Drugs and one count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $50,000 each and they are scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on November 23, 2011.
