MCHS Head Coach Pemberton Resigns

MCHS Head Football Coach Mark Pemberton resigned Monday March 5th at the Macon County Board of Education. Pemberton spent two years at the helm of the Macon County Tigers, taking the Tigers to the TSSAA State Playoffs the past two seasons. His record at Macon County was 10-12 in those two seasons.


Prior to Macon County he spent one year as Head Coach at West Laurens High in Georgia and nine seasons at Knoxville Catholic. He will be leaving the Macon school system in 31 days.

Director of Macon County Schools, Margaret Oldham, has stated that the search for a new head coach will begin immediately following the Macon County School Board meeting Thursday night March 8th.
