Tragedy struck over the weekend, when a 17-year-old teenager was killed following a Friday night, March 23rd, motorcycle accident several miles outside of Lafayette on the Shiloh Road.
Britni Rose Hyso, of the Shiloh Community, was riding on a Yamaha motorcycle with her fiancé, 30-year-old Chris Blankenship, when he lost control and ran off the road. Sustaining fatal injuries, she was pronounced dead at 8:35 p.m. by Medical Investigator, Randall Kirby.
THP Trooper Tracy Donoho, was the investigating officer, and Christopher Blankenship has been charged with driving on a revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident. No bond has been set he will appear in court on April 25.
Funeral services for Britni Rose Hyso will be conducted Wednesday, March 28th, from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Mike Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Rose Phillips of the Shiloh Community; father, Wesley Hyso of Clark Range, Tn.; brothers Nick Hall of Charlotte, Tn., and James Ray Hyso of Monterey, Tn.; sister, Stephenie Nickol Hall and husband Nathan Carver of Lafayette, Tn.; grandparents, Debbie & Bill Riffey of Monterey, Tn. and Donald Hall, Sr., of Mt. Pleasant, Pa.; fiancé Chris Blankenship of the Shiloh Community. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
