Load up the family and head to Red Boiling Springs this Saturday, September 1, for the annual Duck Day Festival, followed by a Labor Day celebration complete with live music and fireworks.

Kicking off the day’s activities will be the Red Boiling Springs Lions Club Annual Duck Day Festival, beginning at 7 a.m. at The Palace Park.

The Duck Day Festival will include food, games, crafts, prizes, live music and a crowd favorite – the dunking booth.

The Duck Race will begin at Salt Lick Creek at 2 p.m. and those wishing to participate can adopt a duck for $5 each at the Macon Bank & Trust Red Boiling Springs Branch or from any RBS Lions Club member.

The First Place winner of the race will be awarded $100 and a $50 prize will go to the Lame Duck.

All adopted ducks will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Winners of the drawing do not have to be present to win.

The Annual Duck Day Festival will go on, rain or shine, and all proceeds from the event will go to the Red Boiling Springs Lions Club.

After the Duck Day festivities, stick around for the Labor Day Celebration, sponsored by the RBS Fire Department & Rescue Squad, The Palace Care & Rehab and Vision 2020.

The celebration will include concessions, live music by the local band Shattered Silence and fireworks on The Palace grounds, beginning at dark.

Guests of the Labor Day Celebration are encouraged to being their lawn chairs.

See you in Red Boiling Springs this Saturday for a fantastic day of family fun!
