The Macon County Chamber of Commerce named Gibson’s Café the 2012 Small Business of the Year during the Chamber’s annual banquet last Tuesday, November 13.
Owned by Miles and Ginger Gibson, Gibson’s Café opened its doors five years ago and offers patrons a variety of homemade favorites and sweet treats, along with a relaxing, eclectic atmosphere.
Formerly a small post office, Ginger and Miles transformed the building, located on the Square in Lafayette, into the restaurant of their dreams after moving to Macon County from southwest Florida.
Miles and Ginger are thankful for the overwhelming support they have received and the many friends they’ve made along the way.
“We feel so honored to be named the Small Business of the Year and would like to thank the Macon County Chamber of Commerce and the community for supporting us for the last five years,” Miles said.
Gibson’s Café is open Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch, and Friday night dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
