Ben Bray, Broker/Auctioneer for Ben Bray Real Estate & Auction Company, is getting ready for Saturday morning, January 11, 2014, when he will take the platform to conduct the 4th Annual St. Jude Charity Auction. The event will be at the Sally Wells Building, located at the Macon County Fairgrounds, in Lafayette, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Since its inception, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has developed protocols that have helped push the overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when they first opened in 1962 to 80 percent today, and with your generous support the hospital is able to continue their life-saving research and treatment. By making donations you will be helping the hospital’s mission of finding cures and saving children’s lives.
“We are seeking donations for this benefit that will be conducted here in Lafayette for St. Jude’s, which is ran strictly on donations made by people and organizations just like yourself,” Bray said last week. “All the money raised from our event will go directly to the hospital and their daily operations.”
Bray said that St. Jude’s is a pediatric cancer research center located in Memphis, Tennessee, and they serve over 5,000 patients each year regardless of their ability to pay, with several children from Macon County being treated there in previous years. “I have been blessed with three healthy children myself and I am proud to partner with this center and to coordinate a benefit auction for their battle against childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases.”
