On Tuesday morning, May 5, Cash Express located on McMurry Blvd. in Trousdale County, was robbed at gun point.
According to Trousdale County Sheriff Ray Russell, around 9:45 a.m. him and several officers were called to Cash Express after a black male robbed the business at gun point. “After we began investigating, we found out that the suspect had come in the business and crawled under the half door with a gun in his hand and demanded money,” said Sheriff Russell. “He took off with $2,900.”
The suspect was described as a 5 foot 8 inch black male, probably in his late 20’s to early 30’s, around 150 pounds, wearing a gray shirt with a black pull over toboggan hat.
“The Sheriffs Office is working with other agencies who have had similar crimes,” stated Sheriff Russell. “This is an on-going investigation and if you have any information concerning this case, please call the Trousdale County Sheriffs Office at 615-374-2114.”
