Plans are being finalized for the 33rd Annual Macon County Fair and the Macon County Chronicle would like to give folks a heads up on what’s new this year at the 2015 extravaganza.
The big thing this year is the $11,100 to be given away to lucky fairgoers throughout the week beginning August 1st thru 8th.
According to a Fair Board member $1,500 will be given away nightly except for the last Saturday night, August 8, which will be $2,100. This generous giveaway will bring screams of delight far louder than any of the midway rides.
“There will be many changes to the fair this year, so with this year’s theme “Ready, Set, Grow!” let’s get started.”
The county fair wlll offer all the traditional events, but this year there will be pig shows, hay bale decorating contests, and ATV/UTS pulls. Also look for changes in the parking sitiuation
