alt

A Football Friday Tailgate Party, hosted by 106.9 Kicks Country, Rock 93.7 and Lite Rock 95.9, will be held at Red Boiling Springs High School on October 30, 2015.

The free celebration will kick off at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.  - when the Bulldogs take on Gordonsville.

This celebration of school spirit and community pride includes free games and activities for children and adults, including a bouncy house. Those in attendance will also be able to register to win Titans and Vols football tickets from 106.9 Kicks Country.

Barbecue sandwiches from Helen’s Restaurant will be sold during the tailgate event, with proceeds to benefit an RBS School club. Sandwich tickets can be purchased for $5 throughout the week at the school and on the night of the event.

Complimentary school spirit signs will be given away to the first 250 fans to show up, and Red Boiling Springs School will be given a chance to win $1,000 through Progressive Savings Bank’s Spirit of the Upper Cumberland Award.

How does the school win?

Bulldog fans are encouraged to upload photos they feel show off their team pride during the week of the game at literock959.com, 1069kickscountry.com or rock937online.com. Photos can be from pep rallies, sporting events, school projects, etc.

Photos from Friday’s tailgate party can also be uploaded to any of the sites, with all photo submissions ending Sunday, November 1, at midnight.

The school with the most photo submissions during their week, at the end of the season, wins the cash to help with school needs!

“The money is greatly needed,” said RBS football coach Kyle Shoulders. “It would be spent on our guys and getting them new equipment. We have had great support at all of our home games this season, and I don’t expect it to be any different versus Gordonsville. We encourage all of our fans to submit their photos and help Red Boiling Springs win this challenge.”

In addition to the contests, games and food, long-time Titans Radio Gameday Host Larry Stone, will broadcast live on all three stations between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. He will also visit with the coach and school and community leaders.

“This tailgate party is a great way to publicize our program as well as the kids themselves,” coach Shoulders remarked. “We hope everyone will come out and show their Bulldog pride!”

The Football Friday Tailgate Party, presented by the Realty Firm, visits a different school each week throughout the football season.
