On Sunday night, November 8, the RBS Police Department arrested 28-year-old Michael Patrick Ehringer, following a hit & run accident of a person on Whitley Hollow Road in Red Boiling Springs.
According to RBS Police Chief Terry Tuck, on Sunday, November 8, Michael Ehringer and Randy Carlile were in an argument when Carlile attempted to open the car door of the white Dodge Avenger Ehringer was driving. “Michael Ehringer took off and drug Carlile approximately 800 feet down Whitley Hollow Road before he dislodged from the vehicle,” said Chief Tuck.
Chief Tuck said that Ehringer left the scene and Randy Carlile was transported to Skyline Hospital in Nashville, where he was treated and released.
Michael Ehringer was caught in Lafayette by Officer Shane Reed, of the Lafayette Police Department. “Officer Reed transported him to the Macon County Justice Center for our department and investigating officer RBS Patrolman Phil Harper interviewed Mr. Ehringer,” added Chief Tuck.
Officer Harper arrested Michael Ehringer and charged him with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and hit & run of a person.
His bond is set at $7,500 and a General Sessions Court date is scheduled for December 9.
