Christmas on the Square this Saturday!

This Saturday, December 12, 2015, you and yours are cordially invited to attend the the highly anticipated holiday event  - Christmas on the Square!


Bring the family out to the Lafayette Public Square from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a variety of activities including train rides for both kids and adults sponsored by the Lafayette Police Department, carriage rides provided by the Donoho Hotel, outhouse races, storytelling, children's art projects, face painting and more!

Outhouse races between the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department and the Lafayette Fire Department will begin at 4 p.m. on the square. The Lafayette Fire Department will also have a fire truck on display,

Cookies and free photos with Santa will be available at Macon Bank & Trust. Don’t forget to stop by Inspirations for some free, hot, buttery popcorn!

Several of your child’s favorite characters will also be available for photos including Mickey & Minnie, Frosty and the Gingerbread Man. 

Holiday art projects will be held inside the county courthouse. These projects are sponsored by the Macon County Arts Council.

As in years past, guests of Christmas on the Square are eligible to enter to win several cash giveaways that will be drawn throughout the day. Winners must be present to win. Register for the drawings at any of the participating businesses.

Participating merchants include Indigo Blues, Inspirations, Gibson’s Cafe, The Eating Place, The Loft, Macon Bank & Trust, the Macon County Chronicle, Cathy’s Flowers & Gifts, Johnson’s Jewelers, Macon Department Store, McClard’s Gifts, Crafter’s Creations and Citizens Bank. 

Haven’t finished your Christmas shopping yet? Participating merchants on the square will also be offering guests holiday specials throughout the day.

Please remember that for everyone’s safety, there will be no parking on the square during this event. 

So come on out and celebrate the season with us at this year’s Christmas on the Square! We can’t wait to see you!
