Since 1908 Alexander Funeral Home has served as a pillar in our rural community, providing generations of families with a sense of trust and security and new owner Judd Sellars looks forward to staying true to this great heritage.
Mr. Sellars, who owns six funeral homes in Middle Tennessee including Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin, started Sellars Funeral Home, in Lebanon, Tn., from scratch when he was only 29 years old. The Wilson County native understands that this is the most crucial time in one’s life, losing a loved one. Even as a young man he vowed to make this time of grief as pleasant as possible for the family members.
“Sue Alexander, which is the Alexander family that started this place, actually approached me two years ago about buying her facility in Gallatin,” said Sellars. “This is the first time in 25 or 30 years that a funeral home owner like me has owned two of the Alexander Funeral Homes together.”
“It’s all about service,” continued Sellars. “I’ve grown my business in being good to people. At times like this, families never forget what you do for them and I always try to go the extra mile.”
“In staying true to the impeccable service here at Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, the staff is not changing,” Sellars pointed out, “nor the name.”
“I am doing some remodeling, however I am not going to change the service,” he said.
Sellars says he is very excited about the opportunity to work in Lafayette and he looks forward to the future.
