Two people were injured and transported for medical treatment following a three vehicle wreck on Monday afternoon, December 5.

The wreck occurred on Highway 52 West at the Evans Road intersection.

According to Trooper Danny Fisher, of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Mary K. Blankenship was driving a 2012 Nissan on Highway 52 West when she reared ended a 1996 Chevy pickup driven by Robert Taylor, who rear ended a 2005 Mazda driven by Kenny Patterson.

Kenny Patterson and Mary Blankenship were transported by ground ambulance to Sumner Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Trooper Fisher was assisted by Trooper Donoho at the scene. Charges are pending.

Those responding to the scene were the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County Sheriffs Office, Macon County EMS, Lafayette Fire Department, and the Macon County Chronicle.
