Search Warrant Executed: Approx. 1 lb. of Marijuana Found

Approximately 1 lb. of a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana was discovered by authorities inside a home on Brattontown Circle last week.

Approximately 1 lb. of marijuana, methamphetamine, narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered after local authorities executed a search warrant last week.

According to a police report filed by Detective Kevin Woodard of the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, he and other detectives arrived at 3206 Scottsville Rd., Lot #10, to conduct a search warrant on January 20, 2020. Inside the residence was 20-year-old Jeremy Sanders.

During their search of the home, officers discovered a large amount of a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana, a glass pipe used to smoke narcotics, a plate with a white powder residue on it, four sets of digital scales, a baggie containing several marijuana roaches and a pill bottle, with a ripped off label, containing 44 pills. The green, leafy substance weighed approximately 1 lb., and the white powder field tested positive for methamphetamine. The pills are believed to be the prescription drug, Gabapentin. All evidence was bagged and seized by authorities.

Mr. Sanders was charged with possession of a schedule VI drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a legend drug. His bond was set at $7,000, and he is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on March 4, 2020.
