Assault, Domestic Violence & Criminal Trespassing

Timothy Crabtree

By Jessie Williams

A man was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing, assault, domestic violence and evading arrest after an incident where he allegedly threatened his girlfriend and her grandmother with bodily harm.

According to the arresting officer’s report, law enforcement was dispatched to a residence at Maple Terrace at 1:30 a.m. on March 27 following a report of a domestic assault situation.

The complainant reported that her boyfriend, later identified as 26-year-old Timothy Crabtree, came to her home without her permission, showing her items he recently purchased.

When she asked how he paid for them, the conversation led her to check the cash she kept inside her home. She alleged she was missing $300 in cash, and confronted her boyfriend.

An argument is said to have then ensued, with Crabtree threatening bodily harm to the complainant and her grandmother, who also lived at the residence.

Crabtree is said to have taken the victim’s phone and left the residence.

Warrants were obtained by Deputy William Cherry for the charges of criminal trespassing, domestic assault and theft of property.

Later the same day, deputies received information regarding Crabtree’s location.

They arrived at a residence on Ferguson Hill Rd. and made contact with a male subject who stated that Crabtree had already left.

A K-9 was deployed, and Crabtree was tracked to an outbuilding behind the residence.

He was then arrested for the charges listed in the warrants, along with the additional charge of evading arrest.

His bond was set at $8,000, and he is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on April 14, 2021.
