Officers from the Macon County Sheriffs Department were dispatched to Suzy Q’s restaurant, located at 4873 Hwy 52 W., in response to a report of a break-in on Thursday, December 25th.
According to the Officer’s offense report, restaurant owner Scottie Gass stated he closed the restaurant at 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 21st, securing the building.
When he returned at 9 a.m. Christmas Day, Gass noticed that the side door on the west side of the building had been forced open.
Among the numerous items stolen from the business were pictures, wall fixtures, paper work, a business license, pots and pans, two crock-pots, three telephones, a radio and a credit card machine.
Damage to the building included a busted door frame, presumably a result of forced entry, and holes in the walls where fixtures had been removed.
Gass estimated it would cost approximately $600 to replace the stolen items.
Anyone with further information in urged to contact the Macon County Sheriffs Department.
