One Arrested in RBS City Shop Burglary

Red Boiling Springs Police have arrested 26-year-old Barry Randall Brandon, with burglary and theft of property in connection to the March 12th City Shop burglary.

Brandon, who was a former inmate at the Macon County Sheriffs Department, worked in Red Boiling Springs while serving time and was out on parole at the time of the burglary.

A reported $15,000-worth of city equipment was stolen from the City Shop and surveillance cameras located in the shop, revealed that two subjects, both concealing their faces, were involved.

“After reviewing the tape, we determined by the actions and body language of one of the subjects that Brandon may have been involved,” Chief Tuck remarked.

Red Boiling Springs Police Chief Terry Tuck made the arrest at Brandon’s home after discovering several of the stolen items; a zero-turn lawn mower, 10 to 12-foot utility trailer and two weedeaters.

“At this time we are continuing the investigation,” Tuck stated. “We know there was a second subjects caught on video surveillance and there may be more than that involved.”

Anyone with further information is urged to contact the RBS Police Department at 699-2011.
