Joey Bransford Johnson, 27

Joey Bransford Johnson, age 27 of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away Thurs., May 28, 2009 at his sister’s residence in Smyrna, Tenn. Funeral Services for Joey Bransford Johnson were conducted Mon., June 1, 2009 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Jerry Mercer officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors. His family and friends served as pallbearers. Joey was born Aug. 7, 1981 in Boone County, IN, the son of Darris Barton Huntsman of Lafayette, Tenn. He served in the Tennessee National Guard for four years where he received numerous medals including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army and Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal. Survivors besides his mother, Darris include  sister & brother-in-law, Shana & Austin Trott,  Niece, Lauren Jo Trott, Nephews, A.J. Trott, Jordan and Nathan Johnson all of Smyrna, Tenn. and a host of friends and relatives.
