Mr. James “Jim” Allen Dodson, age 70, of Gallatin died, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. James “Jim” Allen Dodson, age 70, of Gallatin died, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at his residence. The funeral services for Mr. Dodson were Saturday, Dec. 6th @ 2PM from Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Langston officiating. Interment followed in Sumner Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Fri. Dec. 4 from 6PM-9PM, Sat. 10AM -9PM and Sun. 10AM– Service time. Masonic Services were conducted 7PM, Sat. Dec. 5th from Chapel.

He is survived by his mother, Mable Mays Dodson of Westmoreland, son, Rodger Dodson of Lakeland, FL, daughter, Karen (Roger) Tenpenny of Gallatin, grandchildren, Michael Tenpenny of Gallatin, Kellye Tenpenny of Gallatin, and Tristan Thomason of Westmoreland, and great-grandchild, Josh Thomason of Westmoreland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean Dodson, father, Ethridge Dodson, and his brother, Thomas Dodson.          
Mr. Dodson was a member of Craigfont Baptist Church.  He was also a member of the Masonic Trammel Lodge #436 as 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Shriner.  Mr. Dodson retired from Rockwell International and retired as President of Tennessee Truck Lines/Bush’s.
