Sarah Ann Colter York, 51

Sarah Ann Colter York, age 51, of Red Boiling Springs, TN, passed away early Sunday morning, February 14, 2010 at her residence.   Funeral Services for Sarah Colter York were conducted Thursday afternoon, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Brother Tim White officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery.  Honorary Pallbearers were Brother Tim White, Little David Kernell, David Wallace, D.J. Wallace and Kenneth Dyer.  Active Pallbearers were Jeffery York, Christopher White, Larry Greer, Bill Carver, Larry Colter, Jimmy Colter, Eddie Colter and Jonathan Key. She was born Friday June 20, 1958 in Macon County, TN, the daughter of Vergie Carver Atkins of Red Boiling Springs and the late Matt Colter.  On November 6, 1972, she married Harold Wayne York, who preceded her in death on November 4, 2009.  In addition to her husband and father, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Aline Gann and Willa Dean Colter, brothers, Joe Frank and George Rufus Colter, son-in-law, Michael Wayne Russell and mother-in-law, Love Joy Rice.  She was a garment factory worker and a member of the Calvary Christian Assembly Church in Tompkinsville, KY. Survivors besides her mother, Vergie include: daughters & son-in-law, Lisa & Murl Carter, Lafayette, Carol Russell & companion, Eliseo, sons & daughter-in-law, Jackie & Loretta York, Harold York & companion, Kim, all of Red Boiling Springs, sisters & brothers-in-law, Mary Walker, Tompkinsville, KY, Elizabeth & Larry Smith, Evie & Gary Joe York, Ella & Wayne Dyer, brothers & sisters-in-law, Billy Joe & Frances Carver, Eddie Colter, Larry & Lynn Colter all of Red Boiling Springs, Jimmy & Pam Colter, Jackson, MS, 12 grandchildren.
