Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park with military honors.  His pallbearers were Pete Jarrell, Steve Rainey, Roger Smith, Bob Smith, Terry Tuck, Adrian Powell, Clarence Ferguson and Troy Russell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Carl Russell and brothers, Kenneth, Glen and Johnny Russell.  Ben was a Truck Driver for the Dana Corporation in Gordonsville, Tennessee with 22 years of service, a member of the North Spring Church of Christ and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include: daughter, Lori Lee, Murfreesboro, son, Lee Russell, LaVergne, sister, Lane Spivey, Cookeville, brothers & sisters-in-law, Joe & Pauline Russell, Wade Russell all of Barberton, Ohio, Shirley & Myrna Russell, Lafayette, sisters-in-law, Jean Russell, Lafayette, Peggy Russell, Barberton, Ohio.
