
Wilma McBroom was born in Macon County, Tennessee on Thursday, April 25, 1940, one of three siblings born to the late Pate Clark and Ruby Idell (Bray) Goodman. She was married to Bonell McBroom, Jr., DDS on April 25, 1964, who survives. In addition to her parents, a sister, Linda Joyce Goodman preceded her in death. Wilma was a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ. In her earlier years, she was a Legal Secretary to the law firm of Yelton and Chamberlain. In 1966, she joined her husband working as a Registered Dental Assistant, where she worked by his side until they retired in June of 2008. In addition to her husband of 46 year, she is survived by a brother, Randall (JoAnn) Goodman of Lafayette, step-children, Bonell McBroom, III of Old Hickory, Marietta “Missie” Cartwright of Franklin, brothers-in-law, Dr. William (Sandra) McBroom of Mt. Juliet, Donald E. (Lori) McBroom of Hendersonville, uncle, Hazel Bray of Goodlettsville, nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Dr. Terry) Jackson of Lebanon, Derek McBroom of Mt Juliet, and Renee West of Lafayette, cousins, Leesa Bray of Nashville, Michael Bray of Nashville, Margaret (“Jim”) Chaffin of Lafayette, Betty Ruth Gentry of Lafayette, Ruth (Pete) Belcher of Lafayette, and Ann (Jake) Thompson of White House.
