Roy was born Friday January 25, 1952 in Macon County, Tennessee, one of eight siblings born to the late Carl and Genner Kirby Young. On November 26, 1988, he married the former Linda Carnahan, who survives. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tamara Hawkins and brother, Ronald Young. Roy was a loader driver for Bobby Jones Lumber Company in Red Boiling Springs with 23 years of service and a member of the Whitleyville Church of Christ. Roy Rogers Young, age 59, of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Wednesday evening, June 1, 2011 at his residence. Graveside Services for Roy Rogers Young were conducted Saturday, June 4, 2011 at noon from the Young Family Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Tom Bilbrey officiating.
