Horton Witcher, age 81 of Red Boiling Springs and formerly of the Goosehorn Community in Macon County, TN passed away, Saturday morning, August 27, 2011 at the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Graveside Services for Horton Witcher were conducted Monday afternoon, August 29, 2011 at 4 p.m. from the Clark Cemetery with E. C. Meadows officiating. Billy Hix, Loyd Hix, Bubba Hix, Mike Hackett, Tim Hackett and Jimmy Andrews served as pallbearers.
Horton was born Tuesday, May 20 1930 in Macon County, TN, the son of the late Osha and Vassie Kirby Witcher. On September 4, 1952, he married the former Georgia Mae Fincher, who preceded him in death on May 19, 1988.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Rassie Wakefield and Charlene Hix. Horton was a former custodian for Tri-County Vocational School in Red Boiling Springs, TN with 19 years of service. Survivors include: Daughter & son-in-law, Mary Sue & Jimmy Andrews, grandson, Jeremy Green, sister & brother-in-law, Gladys & H.C. Hackett all of Lafayette, sister, Edith Harness of Gallatin.
