Marie Biles Johnson, age 88, of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Saturday evening, December 29, 2012 at Knollwood in Lafayette, TN. Funeral Services for Marie Biles Johnson were conducted Wednesday afternoon, January 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Jimmy Cook officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Her pallbearers were Jeff Halliburton, Avery Johnson, Lee Johnson, Kyle Towry, Brylee Smith, Kason Wheeler, James Stafford and Stacey Jones. Marie was born Thursday May 8, 1924 in Clay County, TN, the daughter of the late Newton “Newt” and Nellie Davis Biles. On March 30, 1945, she married Avery Johnson, who preceded her in death on April 20, 1961. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Thelma Johnson, son-in-law, Bobby Halliburton, sister, Moline Dillard, and brothers, Andy, Fred and Clarence Biles. Marie was a homemaker and a member of the Leonard Church of Christ. Survivors include: daughters, Linda Halliburton Turner and husband Connie, Savannah, GA, Pam Colter and husband Thomas, Lafayette, TN, Diana Smith and husband Timmy, Red Boiling Springs, TN, Vickie King and husband Mark, Moss, TN, Sons, Terry Johnson, Oak Grove Community, Elton Johnson and wife Nancy, Murfreesboro, TN, Brother-In-Law, Paul Dillard, Portland, TN, 13-Grandchildren and 26-Great-Grandchildren.
